Tayabas,Quezon:Malagonlong Bridge tour 2018

This year wasn't a beach anniversary.I watched Kara David's documentary many weeks ago about old bridges and I was so giddy we have 10 National Cultural Treasure under the Historic Bridges of Tayabas, so we visited the longest and oldest bridge during the Spanish Colonial era -The Malagonlong Bridge.

We had an early celebration because the 20th fell on a Wednesday. We went there on the 16th.For the first stop we went to Malagonlong Bridge. From our home in Tayabas-we just took the jeepney to Calumpang (Php8/each) then took the tricycle to Tayabas market (Php 15/each).Next took a tricycle again to the bridge (Php 10/each).We arrived at the place at 9:45AM.

There were people who were doing their laundry, cooking, fishing and swimming. And sadly, where there are people, there will be trash strewn in the area.

We stayed awhile, waded in the water, ate some "puto" from the market, and took pictures of the inscriptions which perhaps are mason's marks.

imagine the many "karwahe" that passed by this bridge

Next stop is the The Kamayan sa Palaisdaan Restaurant in Lucban. We just took the jeepney again (Php 20/each). The bamboo rafts were all occupied so we just headed to the function hall area. The food arrived fast.Of course I had to order the Sinigang na Sugpo- my only love hahaha!
The sugpo!.later that night I had red arms due to an allergic reaction.

Okay so after the sumptuous lunch,we went to Summit Gourmet. We just wanted to try it out since we were there already. We walked from Kamayan sa Palaisdaan restaurant (I think they call it the "old one" because there's another one a few meters across from it) and kind of hiked to where the plane is located LOL.

Before going to the plane you have to get a boarding pass -right- at the immigration office LOL with the friendly stewardess. Then they will announce your plane boarding on the PA system. It's like you're going on a flight at the airport it was so much fun! They even have big luggage for props.

at the reception

luggage props- super funny LOL

it was a busy Saturday afternoon

unfortunately they ran out of coffee, they only had hot choco

I saw many photos similar to this

Alright, that was an early celebration, so for the anniversary day itself,we had our lunch date at Reasons Cafe .I wasn't able to take pictures of the Beef Biryani and the Chocolate Cake-it was so delicious the husband and I gobbled it up fast. My vegan barbecue was delicious from the texture to the taste -it is really like meat! I wouldn't eat pork barbecue anymore.Their coffee is black brew no dairy creamer.-you will feel great when you dine here.

This year is going to be different for us because Jesse is back in the corporate world and I am in the middle of an employment process. The previous months had been challenging because of the health issues we faced - mine part of the ageing process LOL and with that financial drawbacks.

The beauty of marriage is alive in our lives because of God's providence.God had been with us through it all.He encourages, provides and is always gracious -something I have to internalize and live out.

Agdangan, Quezon:Monte Carlo Resort 2017

My summer won't be complete if I don't go to the beach, so this year ,the married's group decided to go to Agdangan,Quezon after scouting other places in Quezon. It was different this year because I'm with the all marrieds group -from Cavite,Laguna and Pasig.

I like how the ocean breeze can make one feel sleepy in this place... so calm...because when we were just checking it out ,there were not a lot of people. However, since it was the Holy Week Holiday, the place was also packed with people from all over come Friday.Of course, there was Karaoke until late at night, but I was still able to sleep. It was really hot and humid inside the tent - everything was damp with mist the next morning though. The water is very shallow, like most of the beaches I have been in Quezon,so kids can enjoy it.The sand is fine, you can walk for  several meters and the water will still be knee deep.It was also the "salabay" (jellyfish) season so people are just advised to stay within the netted part of the swimming area. Oh, our food is so unforgettable in this trip because Jesse I. somehow was able to whip up gourmet dishes : ) so we were so happy and there were lots of food and even house hold appliances abound! We got burgers, frozen-fresh grilled fish, seafood ,soup etc., and rightly so because there were many kids to feed.

Atimonan, Quezon:Playa de la Lucia 2016

Song of Solomon 8:6 Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.

This year marks our 6th wedding anniversary.I consider marriage as a gift from above,I thank God I am considered a suitable partner to my husband. At times I really think I'm hard to put up with ...but my husband is just so good to me.I just pray I can be loving to him as described in the scripture above.

Padre Burgos,Quezon:Dampalitan Island Getaway 2016!

It's been a week since the summer trip!I was actually reluctant to go there via boat ride because there were no life vests.I even wanted to buy my own.If it is a commercial boat, they'd probably provide life vests, however,it is a private fishing boat so there is no provision for such.To make the long story short,I am writing this because I did not drown in the sea.

This time,I made sure I drank lots of water because in our trip in Cagbalete Island,I felt like I had some kind of heatstroke because of the lack of drinking water.

Our friend Jeric brought lots of gallons of drinking water. We also had a long list of things to bring that our hut looked like a store LOL. Trips are always short because people have to go to work, this is certainly not enough for me.I would have stayed longer-like a few more hours.

The first day was so relaxing for me because I was able to lie down on the bench of the nipa hut we rented.I don't know why,but bugs always bite me.They are always there following me around.During the late afternoon I was able to see the sunset hide behind the mountains a little bit as the others do the faith walk activity. At night,I wasn't able to do star gazing as there were so many people and it was really crowded. This beach however is considered the biggest among the 3 most popular island beaches in Padre Burgos.I was able to visit Kwebang Lampas/Puting Buhangin last year but we just stayed there half a day, it was more crowded there. The only island I haven't visited yet is Borawan.
