Bicolandia!

Our first missionary journey as a church this year started in Bicolandia!

Our group is composed of 11 adventurous and curious people.We went there with the goal to encourage and help set up a young church yet to be inaugurated and join in with the celebration of the 2d Anniversary of Naga Church who themselves visited us last year.

As for me, I tried to pack light and I just brought 1 extra set of clothes for the 2 day trip.I was reluctant at first because of the thought of a horrific ordeal of sitting in a car for endless hours.But , at last I jumped in and I can say it was a great experience.

Rox's Mom talked about another beloved dog who had died and how she talked to it and urged it to go ahead and rest in peace as it is very old,and so it did and never woke up the next day.awwww

This is the signage in the elevated plaze at Centro where everyone can take their pictures proving they are indeed in Daet LOL. Just near it is the pasalubong lane.We went to Jannah's and wow the prizes are amazing compared to Lucena : ) I bought sweets for just Php10 each

We spent some time at the beach, walking, letting the water touch our feet! The sand is powdery I could even feel the powder in my face and between my teeth.

After taking a lot of pictures and praying for people and friends, we had to eat dinner!!! So off we went to our hosts home and we had the chance to meet the Daet church family. There were mouth watering sea foods to my surprise!Also the Pancit Bato,and many other food the Christians brought for the pot luck dinner and another delicacy Rox's Mom made for us which is made from Cassava leaves simmered for hours to remove any poisonous stuff in it.She said that if it isn't cooked well people could feel dizzy if they ate such.

Now, one of the goals of this visit is helping them with their music ministry so here Jesse teaches them some Kingdom Songs.But time flew so fast and it was time to go to sleep but before that I took this picture : 0

Many people attended, classmates,schoolmates, Christians from neighboring towns I even saw Jebeth and her family!Boom was also there because he has some business there.I was surprised to see him so I had to ask him if it was really him hahahahaha

I'm not really into buffet and All-You-Can eat restaurants because I think I have such little stomach.I just got a taste of everything and that is it!The Laing was very delicious indeed!My mouth didn't explode with so much flavorings or seasonings.It was just perfect.

Business Permit Renewal 2016

The odyssey of renewing business licenses has begun!

The residential certificate or Cedula was already obtained by Marie so I went to Brgy III to get the Brgy Clearance. I tried to Google how it's done and it is indeed simple - How to get Barangay Clearance – Requirements and Procedure

To make things simple,fast and convenient the BPLO  set up the different offices and made it into a one stop shop-everything in one place.

First,I went to the Engineering Office section,then to the assessor, next the SOA (Statement of Account) processing which took about two hours.Then I had to pay the dues and since the Fire Dept. section was also set up there, I didn't have to go to their office-voila! There was free coffee and Wi-Fi too.

The only problem I had was with the building lease contract, but since the processing is until the 21st ,I still have ample time. ...to be continued.

Online Shopping hassles

Last year I had a fuss over some of the items/services I ordered online.First , My Photobook voucher from Metrodeals didn't work and I had problems with the website because it was not in English.The other one was with a hotel we booked for our Anniversary trip where I got a humongous bruise because of their unusually high bed.Another one was with Ensogo, where they sent me the wrong items - I received 1pc roll on 40 ml w/ free UWC sampler and free sampler Kojic soap instead of my original order (Belo Essentials Whitening Deo Spray SHOWER FRESH 140ml w/ FREE UWC Sampler). And another one from Hallohallo ,where I got the wrong color of shirt.

I guess the most significant was when I got 3 instead of one power bank I ordered during the Online revolution.If I received the wrong item, I had to go through a lot just to get the right item, and worst ,I can't.But when I received something I didn't order, I have to return it because - and I have to explain it- I follow the strict Christian rule of righteousness.

Updates:

Power Banks:
I got a reply from an email I sent to the CS and they told me "Thank you for informing us that you have received more than what you have ordered." and that I can keep it. So the moral of the story is to be honest instead of thinking of simply keeping the stuff.

Belo products:
The CS gave me options to either get a refund or to have the refund credited to my account and use it for future shopping valid for a year.I chose the latter.Great.

Having lenses changed on the HD 720P Spy Video Glasses

My husband bought me spy glasses (from Lazada) for Christmas and thought I'd be able to use it for my work -- I'm a detective ...just joking. It looks like ordinary glasses.I looked up tutorials on how to use it and found a few similar models. This one is helpful - Review: HD 720P Spy Video Glasses

One problem I have with it is it has blurry lenses, probably just made of plastic material.So, I had to have them replaced with lenses I could use while working on the computer. It is like a protective lens. I had an eye check up and so far I don't need prescription glasses so the optometrist suggested for me to get scratch proof lenses which cost me a whopping PhP 1,950.

Christmas Caroling on a rainy week 2015

What better way to celebrate and spread the Christmas spirit than through caroling!When we hear Christmas songs, happiness permeates our hearts for reasons we don't understand.I get the fuzzy feeling and my heart becomes light.So I like to play Christmas songs on the laptop while I work around the house.It is also a privilege for me to join our caroling group for this year's fund raising for the gift-giving project dubbed Himig ko handog ko.I don't have a singing voice though just guts lol.

It was rainy because of the typhoon Nona and Onyok. It was raining the whole week.I only get to join twice during the 5 day run but it was a lot of fun!In spite of the rain and the inconvenience of walking in the puddles it is indeed fulfilling because we are doing it for a purpose,it is not for ourselves.We are doing it to help families have something to share in this season of giving.We also talked with some of the sponsors who felt blessed in the idea of helping someone.

MLCC Christmas Party 2015

It's that time of the year for numerous Christmas parties so we had to have an early one this year.Companies will have their year end parties and families will have their reunions.

This year our theme is about famous people - Politicians, TV personalities,fictional characters and actresses of course.We listed characters then draw lots.I got the politician part.My costume is so so, not very glamorous to my liking.As expected, we had the Kalye-serye with Lola Tidora and Alden with their dubsmash part which is really funny- because of it's popularity we are not getting tired of it yet.We are just one of those many many Christmas parties with the Kalye serye fever.It is all over and it never fails to bring happiness.I'm saying this because of course I am a fan lol.

Leadership Provision Lesson

I am currently reading a great book about discipling by G. Ferguson and I wanted to share it immediately to my friend because it is very encouraging and challenging at the same time.I am happy that it is something we can do in the church.It is really hard work and that is why Paul mentioned how he strenuously contended and labored for it.And it is for us to imitate.
