I left Lucena at 3:30 AM and arrived at Santolan a few minutes before 7AM. Sister drove for an hour to our house and we left for the resort after about 30 minutes. To our surprise there were a lot check points and road blocks so we had to find a place to park inside a subdivision. We had to pay a lot of fees including parking-which is supposed to be free if only we can reach our destination. We had to walk several kilometers past the road blocks leading to the church and then finally to the resort, with a lot of bags, food and water in tow- a baby too.
So we probably won't go there again,or perhaps we'll take a different route to avoid all of that.
There were many swimming pools to choose from,(there were even hooks in the shower rooms to hang your things as well as a soap dish- these are always lacking in most swimming resorts)There were plenty of cottages, the staff even help with the transport of your stuff into the cottages and it did not take a long time for us to get our tickets despite the volume of people swarming there.
I also met my high school classmate Rhea, it was nice to remember the good old days...
