Daet, Cam Norte:ICOC-Daet 3rd Anniv + Calaguas trip

I almost though that I had to pass up on going to the beach this year but it turned out that it is time to go to Calaguas! But the best part is the third anniversary of the ICOC -Cam Norte. We were also at their inauguration 3 years ago. That time, we went to Bagasbas beach. The church have grown and they have many teens now and the children of the disciples are now entering their teens and campus phases.

06:30 PM settling in tents and swimming
07:30 PM Dinner - buttered shrimp, adobo, afritada, sinantolan, hotdogs, fish

Because there were lots of boats coming back from Calaguas, the port got crowded and we were left stranded for more or less than an hour in the boat because we had to wait for the other passengers to get off their boats and the boatmen had to navigate the narrow channel. I think we saw about ten of them full of people who had to walk a few meters from the boarding/waiting area.

Metro Daet Christian Church Inaugural Service

It was a special day as Metro Daet Christian Church was officially inaugurated on May 15,2016.It was attended by nearby family of churches in the South Luzon region - Legaspi, Naga, Calapan, Laguna, Cavite,Batangas, Lucena and even Christians from Manila.

The day before the inauguration, the MDCC held a community outreach activity sponsored by Mrs. Lucie Aquino. There were parlor games for kids and gift giving for families in the barangay. The youth helped prepare the food items  Some of the parents for the activity went to the inaugural service the next day and heard God's message to his people.

During this trip, we had plenty of time to rest and the places where we need to go are very accessible. We can just take the tricycle to go to Bagasbas beach-which has a long coast line and very fine sand that you won't hurt your feet when you're jogging barefooted. It was very nice.We can also just walk to the mall from the hotel. The inaugural was held in the hotel's hall which is quite huge.

Bicolandia!

Our first missionary journey as a church this year started in Bicolandia!

Our group is composed of 11 adventurous and curious people. We went there with the goal to encourage and help set up a young church yet to be inaugurated and join in with the celebration of the 2d Anniversary of Naga Church who themselves visited us last year.

As for me, I tried to pack light and I just brought 1 extra set of clothes for the 2 day trip.I was reluctant at first because of the thought of a horrific ordeal of sitting in a car for endless hours. But , at last I jumped in and I can say it was a great experience.

There were mouth watering sea foods to my surprise! Also the Pancit Bato, and many other food the Christians brought for the pot luck dinner and another delicacy Rox's Mom made for us which is made from Cassava leaves simmered for hours to remove any poisonous stuff in it.She said that if it isn't cooked well people could feel dizzy if they ate such.
