Lucena City Pasayahan 2013

Last Sunday after church,we decided to go to the mall and then headed to the street market in Quezon Avenue in the late afternoon.During the week long Pasayahan Festival, there are street concerts, parades, pageants and the local delicacy Chami-cooking contest which I experienced last year,it was so fun and there were a lot of freebies that one of my friends swore that she would join this year, but didn't.

There were a lot of people this year, I think more than last year. The streets were packed in the evening during the street concerts and also during parades.A lot of us were dismayed that Coco Martin wasn't on the parade lol. I was able to buy some very affordable blouses, accessories, shorts and a cap for Jesse. We also snacked on whatever we can buy with 100 pesos.

How to install apps to your tab from your PC using micro usb

I was figuring out how to install Skype and other apps without going through my google account because I don't have wi-fi.I only have a micro USB port an HDMI and micro SD card storage on the tab ,very limited options for network connectivity.

While I was browsing through tips on how to install apps on a tablet, I stumbled upon the idea of just downloading the apk files then I saw this wonderful site for the free apps
http://www.androiddrawer.com/ I downloaded all the apps I need then transferred it via micro USB to the tab then I hit the appinstaller icon on the tab then voila it installed everything!

online shopping coupon and points-crazy at Hallohallomall

I stumbled upon yet another online shopping mall, and I got 165 points for registering and browsing the items but it is only good for 10 days.So finally, I bought hair accessories with it.

The store is http://hallohallomall.com/, and they have 5000 shops and 200,000 items, at the time of this writing : ) There are used clothing and other used items for a very cheap price, even ukay ukay clothing! It's always good to buy in bulk and bundles to save on shipping cost.If you buy from different stores, you'd have to pay shipping for each.

They have an interesting "Countdown Discount Sale" where there is a 1% discount each day for 100 days.On the hundredth day the item is going to be free!I tried to monitor the items for almost a week, specially the electric fans, but they go out of stock immediately so I just settled with what my points can buy.

I really tried to choose carefully- selecting from a wide range of items.I had to decide if I'm going to buy a card reader or a USB device, but they become sold out fast-there's only one stock per item in the "Countdown Discount".I decided on the hair accessories since I'm going to a wedding this June, and no one seems to buy them so their prices are slashed to about 67%,sitting there for like 67 days.I selected the Dragonpay option and used my Union EON debit so it was very convenient.

just a few more pairs...

I just had to buy a few more pair of shoes for the rainy day and for Sunday!I got them for a steal!I also got somethings for hubby.I used a P500 worth of coupon and made sure there was a flash sale of 20% Off! so I think I saved about P800.Everything was delivered just about 3 days later. The only downside was I had to get the slippers returned because it was a size too big!The shoes fit fine, but I guess for the slippers ,I should have gotten a size 6 instead of 7".The good thing is the return and exchange are free, and you just have to go to any LBC branch -if you're outside Metro Manila. The LBC personnel didn't know about the Zalora tie up so I had to show them the print out that came with the box saying that I can go to LBC lol. After a few days I received a notification that Zalora accepted the return-I tried to be careful with it ,making sure the tags are there, and the slippers didn't look so worn -well I just tried it on and walked around the house thinking if returning and exchanging is worth the hassle.I still haven't received it in the mail, but I know I will soon!Excited

Online Shopping

I received my items a week ago, and I have been using my new shoes for days now, all I can say is it's awesome!A month or so ago,I bought a cheap pair of jelly shoes at a sort of dollar store, but it caused my heels to crack so I threw it away and I felt that I just really had to buy a good pair.I think I clicked an ad of Lazada and the items there where enticing, but I found out its other affiliate site Zalora which carries more fashion items, from there I got hooked!I started putting items on my wishlist really choosing things for functionality and comfort, I don't like fancy dresses and shoes,I need shoes that are sturdy and at the same time fashionable because I walk all the time.I got tired of wearing my rubber shoes because I don't think it's age appropriate ,being in my early 30's now, unless I wear them during jogging.

The site also offered coupons and flash sale and rebates so it is very tempting to buy -especially all those shoessssss!I chanced upon a flash sale, a P500 coupon and other rebates and bought about 7 items for my husband and me.But I always have to keep it within my budget or I'll be in trouble hah.

summer swimming

It was Jesse's vacation from work so we decided to just go for a swim knowing that there are many resorts nearby and very affordable too.About a couple of years ago we went to the Diamond Hotel swimming pool that's P100 per person and it's all to ourselves,no one's around. This time at Nap and Rose' we had to get a cottage for our bags at P200, we were given a P50 discount. The fee for swimming between 3-10Pm is P80, and they call it Day/Night swimming. We paid a total of P360, almost four times the amount we would pay for just swimming for a couple of hours. They have a snack counter and a play ground for kids and kids at heart like Jesse. The pool is big about the Olympic size I think. The pool at Diamond hotel is much smaller.

Our faces were browned even after just a few minutes-it's that hot!But at around 5pm my hands became numb that I had to change already.

We left there at about a quarter to 7pm, and we just walked from the resort to the road, there were no street lights so it was very dark except when there was a passing vehicle. We stopped by at Lugaw Queen in Quezon Avenue to eat hot Lugaw and by this time , I can feel my fingers again.

Lace enim DIY Summer 2013

I stumbled upon the Vanilla Breeze brand of denims and since it's summer time-time to go for a swim in the beach,I tried to search for a DIY version. There's a lot of them and I tried to spice up my own pair, given by my mom, and gave it a new look.I already have some lace and I also have different patches of cloth with different designs but there's not enough size to fit the half part of the denim shorts so I just decided to go for the lace. It's surprisingly easy to make even without a sewing machine.
