Tayabas,Quezon:Bukal na Mainit -Hotspring 2015

CHURCH OUTING May 17 Bukal na Mainit- Hotspring, Mauban

We had our annual church outing at Mainit Hotspring in Mauban Quezon. We went there early so we can find a good spot- near a grill, near toilets and showers and the pool.We also enjoyed the pool all to ourselves. The pool near our cottage is shallow so it wasn't very hot. There were a number of pools. The oldest one and the pool near that are the hottest of them all. Most old people go there. There is also a small steam bath where you can sit not more than 30 minutes. At around 10 AM ,people started coming in large groups. It wasn't a special holiday morning but there were so many people, almost all the cottages were occupied. It was a big hit "sa tag-init"!

Hope of Heaven Chronicles

Hope of Heaven is a Bible study series for urgent cases...we visited a distant relative of a disciple in this small neighborhood island in Catanauan, Quezon. It is surrounded by the sea on the North and by lake on the South. We went on the south side.It takes two and a half hour travel by van : ) you need to request for a stop over if you need to pee. They usually stop at a gasoline station 30 mins from Lucena which is Shell if your coming back from Catanuan ,and 30 minutes before Catanauan,if your coming from Lucena, which is a small gas station that I can't remember. So you can pee 30 mins before the destination ,not in the middle of the travel, otherwise you'll have to knock on houses or pee in the middle of nowhere if you cannot hold it in : )

View from the bridge - a small neighborhood with about 200 families. You need to ride a boat from Brgy 1 to get to the other side.

Welcome food- sweet deserts of fruit salad, macaroni salad, jelly, Leche Flan and soda

Photo Essay:Happy Birthday at Hapee Wee

We went to Hapee Wee Dimsum House along Quezon Avenue after the worship service to celebrate Andrew's birthday. There were 20 of us and the crew thought that we were gonna do networking stuff, but he could have asked it the good way instead of sounding like he didn't want to accommodate us LOL. I'm not surprised with this kind of treatment to customers here in Lucena. After about 2 years of living here, I have encountered annoyed service crews from Buddy's Restaurant to smaller eateries, its like hospitality is not an innate nature of people here.Well maybe it's just me because I don't look like a wealthy person, but then again I'm also a customer and I pay for my orders.
