Quezon :Ouan's Farm Resort-2019 ICOC-Quezon Christmas Party

The Gift Series

Communion message by Rolly
Luke 3:3-6 He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: "A voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all people will see God's salvation.'"

Make straight paths
-prideful and high spirited life made low
-empty lives will be filled by Christ
There needs to be change, that's the only way we can prepare for the Lord

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Proclaim the purpose of Jesus
-his death, burial and resurrection when we take Communion
-with commitment and all seriousness.

Realize that God has chosen us to prepare the way for the Lord.

Let us continue to live a righteous life.

Benevolence by Mike
Acts 20:34-35 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

We started the day with zumba and then after a quick change of clothes to our farm themed costume we had the Sermonion service to remember how God sacrificed for us and we live life to the full because of him.

There were a few games and palabok and lumpiang Shanghai snacks at 10AM then another set of games. After lunch we had bingo games with prizes and this year Annie and Dianne won the grand prize of cash and no he Buena package so split the prize.
We also went swimming and played dragon's tail and base game with some of the friends that joined us. All in all there were 47 in attendance!
