I just checked my SSS online account to check if my recent payment was added- it was!
I didn't realize that it was easy to switch from covered employee to voluntary member. The long lines and the sad looks from the people waiting in line outside of the old SSS office in Lucena, discouraged me to enter and inquire inside. When the office was transferred to Grand Terminal, I finally tried to brave the long lines and I was surprised that I didn't have to wait too long!"Manong guard" told me to go to the information personnel, who in turn gave me a piece of paper to fill out- SSS number and name. She comes back with information about my number of contributions and last contribution -which I don't really need LOL.We got a chance to ask questions, and I got answers to these inquiries:
1. What's my employer ID # so I can create an online account? -she promptly supplied that so I can now check my premiums online.
2.How can I switch from covered employee to voluntary member? -she told me to just get an RS-5 form (you can also download this from https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/index2.jsp?secid=1&cat=8&pg=null) and pay the premium that I'd select, she said I can choose any amount from the list she gave me: P1560,P1404,P1248,P572,P468,P364.
You can make payments at the SSS office or participating banks and after that your status will automatically be updated!I paid my premium on the first week of June, and that payment was reflected on my account this July.So it takes a while for it to show up on your account but no worries.

Conversion Story 80 Years in the Making
Conversion Story 80 Years in the Making
A touching story of faithfulness and devotion to God and his Body-the church. It's awesome to hear about stories where God's work is so evident because people allow God to work in their lives.

Intex Envy will not boot up!
Well apparently my husband was watching movies on the tab while riding home in a bus and then the tab went kaput! It won't boot up.I suspect that the battery got drained and just refused to function. We tried to charge it but it still didn't work.We searched online and found a similar fix but to no avail, so we tried several button combinations to try to enter the recovery mode.We did that because we don't have the manual. So you can proceed at your own risk!
1.Push the Reset button with a sharp ended toothpick to turn off the tablet.
2.Remove your SD card so it won't get wiped out.
3.Hold down Menu+Power button for about 5 seconds,do it again if it goes back to the android logo.
4.If you are successful, you will see the options -select something like Recover/Wipe all data.Apparently you don't have any choice but to do it.Use the Volume buttons to scroll up and down.
5.Your Intex Envy will be reset to the factory defaults.
6.You can now install your other apps. and change settings that you like!
It actually worked better after the recovery and the tapping is more responsive than before.

5 things to help save mother earth
I got another treat from my now favorite online store http://hallohallomall.com/ !
I was supposed to get the pillow hanger but I got plenty of error messages during the order process, so I just chose this one from my favorites list. I want to use it to filter my Kapeng Barako instead of buying another appliance-a coffee maker.
I entitled this article as such, because I think not using many electric appliances can save mother earth : )I read this article from Howstuffworks http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/green-science/save-earth-top-ten1.htm,it enumerated 10 things we can do to save mother earth. Well from the 10,I can do like five of them since the rest talk about cars and driving ,and I don't do that. These are a few from the list:
1. Pay attention to how you use water.
I don't have the luxury of continuous flowing tap water,I mean, there is a schedule for the water supply where I reside.I brush my teeth with just a tumbler or two of water and I always use a pail and a "tabo" - dipper ,to scoop out water from a container.I think this is so earth friendly!
2.Walk or ride your bike to work, school and anywhere you can.
I walk all the time! I live in the heart of the city so I can just walk to the church, mall, market, park, government offices, shops you name it!
3. Recycle.
My husband drinks bottled water on his trips and he usually brings it home so I keep it. When I think I have gathered enough, I sell it.
4.Make your home more energy efficient (and save money).
Well I don't own an air-conditioner, refrigerator and even a washing machine!I will use my new strainer instead of a coffee maker!I'm so earth friendly right?
5.Turn off lights when you're not in the room and unplug appliances when you're not using them.
I think this is easy enough for everyone to do.
